How to Synchronize Tags and Labels Between TravelPerk and Expensya?

Modified on Wed, 12 Mar, 2025 at 12:33 PM

This article provides a clear guide for users on how to manage tags and labels for expense synchronization between TravelPerk and Expensya.

Follow these steps to ensure the synchronization between the tags and labels between the two platforms:

  1. Ensure that the tags you want to use already exist in Expensya.
  2. In TravelPerk, create labels that exactly match the tag names in Expensya. This ensures that the labels and tags are properly synchronized.
  3. When making a booking in TravelPerk, assign the label that matches the tag in Expensya.

When the expense corresponding to the booking is imported into Expensya, it will have the tag identical to the label assigned in TravelPerk.

Warning: For the label-to-tag conversion to occur, the tag must already exist in Expensya. If a TravelPerk label does not have a matching Expensya tag, the expense will be imported without a tag.
Note: Make sure the names of your tags in Expensya and labels in TravelPerk are exactly the same. This ensures that the synchronization process works smoothly.
